MACH Rudi goes to the European Open

Rudi and Sue traveled with the USA TEAM to Taszar, Hungary to compete in the European Open Agility Tournament July 26-28th, 2014.  We stayed at The Puchner Castle and Hotel Resort in Bilak, Hungary.  The first day is Team competition with a Standard and a Jumper course.  The second day is individual competition Standard and Jumper courses.  The third day was finals with Team relays and Individual Team Finalists.  Rudi and I were on an international mixed team with another Miniature Schnauzer named Cenac and his handler, Catherine DeDecker of Belgium. There were five Miniature Schnauzers competing, lots of Poodles, Shelties, a large number of Border Collies, a few other breeds and some mixed breeds too.  It was interesting that a number of dogs were off leash on the outdoor trial site.  It was a wonderful experience and we intend to go to World Team Tryouts again in May 2015.  Next year’s site has yet to be determined.
